The pain I had been in since May 2012 was excruciating, I had been through months of physiotherapy all to no avail and I was losing feeling in my right hand especially my thumb.  The cocktail of painkillers I was on was ever increasing and equally debilitating.  You and your team including Dr da Silva and Linda Hamilton have been brilliant, prior to my surgery in January 2013 with guidance and reassurance in coming to the decision that surgery was the best option, dealing with health insurance company quibbles and making sure everything was in place to give me peace of mind going into surgery.  My surgery was a great success and following my recovery, the x-rays show what a brilliant job you did.  Even to the point at my six month check up, of referring me to and calling to arrange a consultation with another excellent consultant when I had been diagnosed with gallstones and anaemia which are now being dealt with, thank you so very much for taking the time to do all of that.
 
I can only say thank you and that friends and family can’t believe the operation that I’ve been through, especially as you can’t even see the scar on the front of my neck.  Very well done!!  You don’t realise how fantastic it is to be able to go for a walk in the country, to sit down to enjoy a meal with friends and to take part in sports you used to do all the time until you lose the ability to do those things. I can do all that and more now thanks to you.
