Thank you both again and if I can talk to and reassure any of your future patients I would only be too happy to do so to reassure them that they are in the best of hands.

October 2011

It was 16th May 2011, nearly 6 months ago, that you performed a complex operation on my back, the technical terminology being Spinal Decompression and further augmentation of metal work stabilise degenerative scoliosis, which was all double-dutch to me as non-medical person. As a very nervous and frightened potential patient, you and the anaesthetist Dr Da Silva both spent considerable time and patients in explaining to me with visual aids, the procedure, which would be incurred. This gave me confidence that I was in the very best of hands with your professional skills and it put my fears to rest.

Subsequently this has been borne out and now 6 months later I am writing to thank you and Dr Da Silva for transforming my standard of life with the relief of pain and now the ability to walk again every day over miles of fields and woodland, which I had not been able to for the previous 2 years.

As I said before being a very frightened patient the care, kindness and nursing I received before and after the operation was faultless and yours and Dr Da Silva’s visit every day during my stay was very reassuring and comforting. I would have liked to have written a special thank you 3 months ago but being the ‘worrier’ that I am thought it would tempt providence, which was not the case. Thank you both again and if I can talk to and reassure any of your future patients I would only be too happy to do so to reassure them that they are in the best of hands.
