I was referred to Mr Ishaque, following a continuing issue with my back and right leg. I had a persistent, quite debilitating ache in my right calf and ankle.

 

After a consultation with Mr Ishaque, it was determined that, due to a long standing scoliosis in the lower back, the pain was sciatica based. We discussed the options that might be available and I was particularly concerned about the possibility of surgery being required.It seemed to me to be an extreme approach to addressing the problem and therefore to be avoided if possible. Mr. Ishaque recommended that a nerve block steroid injection might alleviate the problem instead.

 

Subsequently I have had the injection, which has calmed down the sciatica and enabled me to return to my normal active life.

 

I am grateful for Mr Ishaque’s clear diagnosis and help in identifying the medical options and then his consummate skill in administering the injection. It is a complicated issue to apply the steroid in exactly the right place and it is a credit to Mr. Ishaque that he was calm, efficient and very helpful to me during the procedure.
