I cannot thank Mr Ishaque and his team enough for all their time, skill and knowledge in effectively re-building my spine and giving me a much valued new lease of life.

May 2013

When I first saw Mr Ishaque in April 2012, I had been virtually unable to walk for four months, due to what Mr Ishaque subsequently diagnosed as multiple level degenerative disc disease, with a degenerative scoliosis. Until the end of 2011, I had been a generally fit and active 65 year old and a keen cyclist and almost overnight, found myself unable to walk or engage in previous physical activities.

After gaining some temporary benefit through injections performed by Mr Ishaque in early May 2012, it became clear that I would only re-gain mobility if I had a complex 8 hour operation to correct my spinal deformities.

Mr Ishaque explained very clearly and sympathetically the detailed procedure involved in such an operation, the possible risks as well as potential benefits and answered all the questions my wife and I put to him.

The 8 hour operation was carried out by Mr Ishaque and his team at the end of October 2012 and I remained in the Priory Hospital for 7 days. I received excellent care and kindness from everyone at the hospital and Mr Ishaque saw me almost every day cheerfully and sympathetically checking my progress and answering any questions I had.

Now, 6 months after the operation, I feel I have recovered my life back due to the extraordinary skill and knowledge of Mr Ishaque and his team. I can walk for almost an hour and a half and expect to be able to increase this as I progress further and hope to be cycling again in a few months’ time.

In conclusion, I cannot thank Mr Ishaque and his team enough for all their time, skill and knowledge in effectively re-building my spine and giving me a much valued new lease of life. I am very grateful indeed and hope this assessment if my happy and positive experience will be helpful to others being advised to have an operation or other treatments from Mr Ishaque.
