I was referred to Mr Ishaque by my physiotherapist with back pain, sciatica and coccyx pain which was not improving with physio. I was very apprehensive about the referral because I didn’t want surgery but from the first visit to the time I was discharged I was treated as an individual by Mr Ishaque and his team. He put me at ease immediately and assured me that surgery was not the only option available.

After tests it was decided that I should have a spinal injection. The injection was performed under general anaesthetic as a day case. On the day I was treated by the whole team professionally in a friendly manner and on discharge from hospital was reassured that if I had any problems I just needed to contact them.

This was followed by more physio and two further visits to see Mr Ishaque before final discharge. I can’t say I am completely cured but the relief from the pain was almost immediate. The problems may reoccur but at the moment all is well but if they do come back I know where to go.
